Broadcast Playout and Signal Infrastructure

There's a wide range of infrastructure this month, but the standout lot is Lot 42 - a complete 40-channel playout system comprising Evertz OVRT-LIVE playout servers, Mediator storage and control infrastructure, multiviewers, storage expansion units, and associated patching and control hardware — the full operational chain for a multi-channel broadcast output, available as a single lot.

Lot 42 — The Evertz 40-channel broadcast playout system is a complete infrastructure lot — OVRT-LIVE playout servers, Mediator storage, control servers, multiviewers, and patching in a single catalogue entry. Starting bid £20.

  • Ericsson AVP4000 20-channel encoder and multiplexer system (Lot 20) — Ericsson AVP4000 encoder platforms, MX840 multiplexers, Tandberg MPEG2 decoders, and an Ericsson RX8200 MPEG4 decoder. The encode-multiplex-decode chain in a single lot, starting at £20.
  • Evertz XE8-X-FR Xenon 128×128 3G/HD/SD-SDI router (Lot 86) — multi-format routing at 128×128 capacity, four cards loaded. A second Xenon XE8-X-FR unit at Lot 157 with confirmed redundant PSU. Router control panels separately: Lots 166 and 167 (CP-3201E, 32-button, 1RU) and Lot 169 (CP-6400E, 44-key, 2RU).
  • Evertz Magnum-HW broadcast control server (Lot 163) — dual PSU, 4×GbE, 2U. The Magnum is Evertz's broadcast router control and signal management platform. An Evertz Mediator-HW-ENG appliance (Lot 215), EMS-MC-20220-BDM master control server (Lot 88), and EMS-IVC-20222-BDM video server (Lot 89) complete the Evertz control infrastructure.
  • Evertz 500FR modular distribution frames — ten-plus chassis across Lots 82–85, 154–156, 158–160, 164–165. Variants include 15-slot and 20-slot 3RU frames and one 32-slot 5RU high-density chassis (Lot 164), all with dual PSU. Evertz 7800FR chassis at Lots 87, 155, 161, 162 include loaded distribution amplifier cards. The 3000FR multi-image processor chassis (Lots 151, 152) carries MVP multiviewer functionality.
  • Nevion TVG450 J2K encoder/decoders — 18 units across Lots 91–100, 126, and 190–197. Four Ateme Kyrion CM5000 HD/SD broadcast encoders (Lots 120–122, 125) at £20 each. An Ateme Hyron broadcast processor (Lot 200) and DSR5000 satellite receiver (Lot 201) extend the encoding and reception options.
  • IT backbone — ten Dell PowerEdge R620 1U servers (Lots 101–106, 213, 214, 228, 229) plus R630 and R640 variants and HP ProLiant DL360 servers. Networking includes fifteen-plus Cisco Catalyst 3750X 48-port gigabit switches, Cisco Catalyst 6509-E chassis, Cisco ASA 5512-X and 5545-X firewalls, and Cisco 1921 ISR routers.

Audio Post and Storage: Avid Systems

This section is anchored by two lots that rarely appear together, and rarely appear unused: an Avid S4 control surface and a pair of Avid NEXIS PRO+ storage engines, both purchased from an authorised UK reseller in November 2023 and neither commissioned.

Lot 1 — Avid S4 Control Surface: The Avid S4 16-fader system is the current-generation Avid audio post control surface — touch-sensitive motorised faders, full DAW integration, built for a professional post environment. Purchased November 2023, never commissioned, still in original packaging. The UK's leading Avid audio reseller has been engaged to support the buyer post-purchase; details available via the lot.


A post-production facility adding the S4 and NEXIS PRO+ picks up the control surface and storage platform for a complete Avid audio post suite — both unused, with aftercare available through the vendor, from a single auction.

PTZ Cameras and Camera Support

The BRC-H900: Sony's Full HD PTZ head with a 3-CMOS sensor array, 14× optical zoom, SDI and component output, and RS-232/422 control. A standard fit in studio, house of worship, corporate AV, and OB deployments worldwide. Fourteen heads across paired lots and singles, three Dotworkz outdoor housings, additional controllers, and five H900 units for spares or repair.


  • Four paired lots with matched RM-BR300 controllers (Lots 281, 282, 289, 290) — starting £200–250 per pair.
  • Six individual BRC-H900 heads (Lots 283–288) starting at £125 each; two further single heads at Lots 294 and 295.
  • Dotworkz BRZ12CDH outdoor dome housings (Lots 291–293) — IP66-rated with heater/cooler, three units starting at £190 each.
